Our Flowers

Grown by ourselves, our flowers and leaves are raised in small polytunnels using sustainable growing techniques. We now grow over 35 species of edible flowers and leaves, with more being added every year.

We never use sprays or chemical pesticides, preferring to use methods that do not damage our diverse wildlife population. Our plants are watered using automatic irrigation which reduces our water consumption and provides a stable growing environment. This naturally reduces stress on our crops, making them more resilient to pests and diseases and is good for the environment too.

When the temperature is warm enough, we use beneficial insects known as biological control to help reduce numbers of pests and keep our plants healthy. We don't eliminate every insect from our crops, so you may find an occasional bug squashed between petals but this is very rare. 

​

The flowers are harvested by hand, we take care in selecting only the finest blooms which are then pressed and dried in small batches. Our aim is to produce pressed flowers of the finest quality, with well preserved, vibrant colours.

The flowers are carefully packed, interleaved with glassine paper which makes them easy to handle without breaking.
