Centaurea cyanus is our native cornflower that once grew as a weed in cornfields throughout the UK. Our wild cornflower, is now considered to be endangered in its native habitat due to the widespread use of industrial agricultural techniques. The beautiful flowers are surrounded by a ring of colourful spiky petals and we harvest only these outer parts, ensuring the highest quality of colour. These pretty pale pink petals are completely edible and can be used to decorate all types of cuisine from cakes to desserts.
