Sweet Cicely is a wonderfully aromatic plant with slightly furry leaves that have a mild flavour of aniseed. It has long been used as a herb and is most well known as a way to sweeten rhubarb dishes. These bright green leaves are around 6cm - 8cm with a finely divided fern like shape. Great for using on the sides of large buttercream cakes, they have a stiff, papery texture and are best removed before serving.
